HERRIARD GREEN

Herriard Green has been open for about ten years and provides sports and play facilities as well as a focal area for the village.

The pathways at the Green have been resurfaced recently to allow greater accessibility on the 1.25km internal perimeter that form a circuit around the Green along with linking paths to outlying roads. This pathway is an excellent place to go for runs and walks. The Green has a children’s play park for younger and older children. Little Meadows nursery uses the Pavilion for children aged 2-5. There is a small car park for visitors. We welcome responsible dog owners who keep dogs on leads and clean up dog mess on and around the paths.

Herriard Sports Club is based at Herriard Green with the Owen White Pavilion serving cricket and football clubs. The cricket club hosts training sessions and regular matches against local teams at weekends. The Herriard Hawks junior football team plays against local teams. There are two tennis courts for juniors and adults with regular club sessions during spring, summer and autumn.
